Materials: 1 oz. Red and 1 oz. White knitting worsted
2 oz. Blue Knitting Worsted
Size 8 - 16" circular needle or whatever size gives you gauge
Yarn Needle for weaving in ends
1 stitch Marker
Gauge: approx. 4 sts to 1"
Childrens and teen sizes in ( )s.
R=Red, W=White , B=Blue
With R , cast on (64, 72) 80 sts.
Row 1: Knit
Row 2, 3 and 4: K1, P1
Row 5- 8: with W repeat rows 1-4, break off W
Row 9-12: with R repeat rows 1-4, break off R
With B:
13-15: Knit
Rows 16-27: attach W , following chart knit xs in W.
Or
Row 16: *K 1 W, K 3 B*, repeat around
Row 17: *K 1 B, *K 1 W, K 1 B, K 1 W,K 5 B * repeat around , ending with K1 W, K1, B, K1 W, K 4 B
Row 18: *K 5 W, K 3 B* repeat
Row 19 & 20: K 2 B, *K1 W, K 7 B* repeat ending with, K1 W, K 5 B
Row 21, 22: Knit B
Row 23: *K 1 W, K3 B* repeat around
Row 24: *K 5B, K1 W, K 1 B, K 1 W* repeat around
Row 25: *K 1 W, K3 B, K 4 W*, repeat around
Row 26 & 27: *K 6 B , K 1 W, K 1 Blue*, repeat around
Knit until piece measures ( 6 ½", 7, ) 7 1/2" in depth. Begin decreasing for top
Row 1: K 6 knit 2 tog around
All even rows : Knit
Row 3: K 5 , K tog around
Row 5: K 4, K tog around
Repeat as above until you K 2 tog around. Break off , leaving yarn long enough to thread through all stitches. Fasten off
and weave in ends.
