Materials: Cotton yarn, size 6 to 8 double points or two circs
yarn needle for weaving in ends

Cast on 9 sts. using one of the two previously mentioned methods
Round 1: Knit around in a circle
Round 2: (I don't like to start my rounds with a YO over so we're shaking things
up a bit here) K1, YO repeat around
Row 3-5: Knit
Row 6: repeat round 2
7-12: Knit
Row 13: repeat Row 2:
Knit as many rounds as you need to get size you desire for cloth. I only did
about 4 more rounds here. Then P 1 row, K1 row, P1 row and bind off. I decided
to end with a row of single crochet but, it's not necessary.
And there you have it! The Pi Shawl in a mini form!
Knit this in wool and you've got a great shawl for your American girl dolls.
Knit it on and on in cotton and add a draw string to your last row of YO's and
with a lining you've got a super tote bag. Make it around 14 to 20" and add a
belly and neck band for a great dog sweater. Little bitty ones make great drink
coasters.
