Norwegian Bear Sweater

Materials: 2 colors (A: Dark), B (light) heavier  worsted weight wool

And size 6 to 8  16” circular  needles that will give you approx. 4 sts. To 1” and matching size double points.   Gauge is not too important. A smaller sweater will just fit a smaller bear.

Knitting Around

Cast on 60 sts. and join without twisting

Rows 1 -4: with color A K1 tbl (through the back loop), P1 around

Attach Color A and work 2 and ½” following the lice chart in the Knitting Around Book

Knit 1 more row with A after completing the Lice Chart

Yoke  Design:

Row 1: K2A,  K 1B, K3A repeat around

Row 2: K1A, K3B, K2A around

Row 3: K2B, 1A, 2B, 1A around

K 1 row with A, 1 row with B, then 1 row with A

Pattern 2:

Row 1: K2B, K1A, K3B, repeat around

Row 2: 1B, 3A, 2B “

Row 3: 5A, 1B “

Row 4: 6A “

Row 5: 2 A, 1 B, 2A, 1B

Row 6: 1B, 3 A, 2B

Row 7: 2B, 1A, 3B

Knit 1 row with A, one with B, one with A

Pattern 3:

Row 1: K2B, 1A, 2B, 1A

Row 2: K1A, K3B, K2A

Row 3: k2A, 1B, K3A, Break off B

Knit 3 rows A and Bind off .
